Sustainability
Sustainable clothes are not just about changing a material to be a bit less harmful or being able to produce a garment with a little bit smaller carbon footprint. “Less bad” is not enough – we need to change the way the whole fashion industry works.
For us sustainability means ecological, ethical and transparent way of designing, making and wearing clothes. It’s part of each and every step of our business such as in long-lasting design, high quality, ecological materials, ethical working conditions and transparent production process.
Here you can read more about our thoughts about sustainability:
Transparency
For us the most important way to make sure the whole supply chain is sustainable is to know everything about it. It’s crucial to be transparent throughout the whole production chain and be open in all business activities.
We spend hours and hours searching for the best suppliers and partners to work with so we can make sure we know as much about the production as possible – and we are able to share all this information with you.
Ethical production
We feel that clothes aren’t pretty if the people who made the clothes aren’t treated well. All the people involved in the production process need to be paid fairly, have safe working conditions and reasonable working hours. It doesn’t matter if the production takes place close by or far away – the ethical aspects are always equally important.
Quality over quantity
Organic Fiber Clothing wants to bring back the old days when clothes were meant to last. It’s an ongoing process where we constantly source for better materials, designs and production methods to be able to reach even higher quality.
Sustainable business
It’s not only our clothing production where we feel it’s absolutely necessary to be sustainable. Sustainability is an inseparable part of all our business activities and the core of everything we do. We want to develop our business in order to really make a difference on a large scale within the clothing industry.

Fabrics Organic Cotton
Organic Cotton:
Organic cotton is grown without the use of toxic and persistent pesticides and synthetic fertilizers and genetically engineered seeds.
Organic cotton is grown using methods and materials that have a low impact on the environment. Organic production systems replenish and maintain soil fertility, reduce the use of toxic and persistent pesticides and fertilizers, and build biologically diverse agriculture and promote balance of eco systems. Third-party certification organizations verify that organic producers use only methods and materials allowed in organic production.
Benefits of Organic Cotton:
- It is not harsh on baby’s skin and do not give rise to skin irritations, rashes, or allergic reactions.
- It is the purest and most natural clothing material you can get. It has all the goodness of cotton, such as high absorbing capacity, low weight, softness, smoothness, and ventilation without the harmful aspects of toxic chemicals.
- It tends to be more durable than the conventional cotton as it has never been through the harsh chemical processing & finishes. So looking at the long run, it could be a bigger bang for the buck.
- Organic acreage allows for more crop diversity and health.
- Organic cotton production is often associated with fair labor.
- Very little harm is done to the environment during its cultivation or production. So it is better for our land, water, air, animals…the whole eco-system.
- We believe in doing our best to use organic cotton, Pima cotton and bamboo fibers whenever we can. Because our materials are pesticide free they don’t only make your children’s clothes safer, but they also promote a cleaner world for them to grow up in.
Low Impact Dyes:
Certified Organic Cotton uses only low-impact dyes, which contain no heavy metals and use less water in the dyeing process.
GOTS:
It stands for Global Organic Textile Standard. GOTS is one of the leading processing standards set for organic textiles worldwide. Once a business has completed GOTS certification, it acquires a license which entitles said business the rights to use GOTS logo.
Oeko-Tex Standard 100:
It is an independent testing and certification system. It tests for harmful substances. The requirement for the certification is that all components of a garment have to comply with the required criteria (i.e.in addition to the outer material, it also tests sewing threads, linings, prints etc. as well as non-textile accessories such as buttons, zip fasteners, rivets etc.).
Formaldehyde:
Clothing made from Organic Cotton is free of Formaldehyde.
BAMBOO
Organic Fiber Clothing Bamboo™ fabrics are made from a special blend of viscose from bamboo. Bamboo's soft, silky feel, its ability to take colors well and its breathability are designed to appeal to those who seek the very best in natural luxury. It's so soft you can actually feel the bamboo softness for yourself. Bamboo is often blended with 50% cotton to add structure to garments. Bamboo fabrics also feel warmer in winter and cooler in summer.
Naturally soft. Bamboo apparel is softer than the softest cotton, and it has a natural sheen like silk or cashmere.
Allergy reduced. Bamboo’s organic and naturally smooth fiber properties are non-irritating to the skin, making it ideal for people with skin sensitivities or other allergies and dermatitis.
Thermal regulating. ensuring that you are warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Bamboo clothing's excellent wicking properties also make it ideal for warm summer days.
Absorbs moisture. A cross-section of bamboo fiber reveals various micro-holes, allowing bamboo cloth to have superior absorption. This allows bamboo cloth to absorb and evaporate human sweat rapidly. Bamboo fiber is four times more absorbent than cotton.
Breathable. The porous qualities of bamboo fiber account for it's breathability; clothing made of bamboo resists clinging during hot weather or exercise.
Anti-bacterial. Bamboo fabric contains a naturally occurring anti-microbial agent, kun, that prevents bacteria from cultivating on it, which means it helps keep you odor free.
UV protection. Bamboo naturally provides added protection against the sun's harmful UV rays.
Because of it's anti-bacterial and UV resistant properties, bamboo fiber clothing is particularly well suited for performance and exercise wear...

Merino Wool
Our merino combines the best qualities of traditional wool, synthetics and cotton. It’s soft and non-itch, it’s warm in the cold and cool in the heat, it breathes to prevent clamminess, and it has a miraculous ability to warn off stinkiness .
And because it was made in the mountains, rather than a lab, merino wool is renewable, recyclable and biodegradable.
DRY
Organic Fiber Clothing merino pulls moisture vapour to the surface of the fabric, where it evaporates before the vapour turns into sweat. It can absorb up to 30% of its own weight in moisture before you even start to feel wet, and it dries fast. (Not quite as fast as synthetics, but the world isn’t perfect...)
LIGHTWEIGHT
Our merino has an exceptionally high warmth-to-weight ratio. The fine, lightweight fibres give you all the warmth of a heavy sweater – without the bulk.
BREATHABLE
Synthetic fibres feel clammy because moisture vapour can escape only through holes in the fabric. But with Organic Fiber Clothing merino, the fibre as well as the fabric breathes to prevent you overheating
ODOUR RESISTANT
Organic Fiber Clothing merino resists odour naturally, and can be worn for days — even weeks — without washing.
Sunsafe
Organic Fiber clothing merino has a UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Rating) of at least 50, which is considered the ultimate in sun protection. That’s higher than cotton and most synthetics.
Easy Care
Resilient Organic Fiber Clothing merino is machine washable, dries quickly (on the line or on the back of a chair – not in a tumble dryer ) and bounces back into shape without ironing, which makes it ideal for travel.
Anti Static
Organic Fiber Clothing merino is resistant to static electricity build-up, which means it won’t cling or rustle .
For hikers, runners, road cyclists, mountain bikers, skiers, snowboarders and a host of other athletes, there’s no better performance fabric than Organic Fiber Clothing merino.
ZnO
Our most advanced fabric embeds millions of tiny particles of zinc oxide into every fiber. This is the same ingredient used to block UVA and UVB in broad-spectrum sunscreens and to treat mild skin irritations and burns. These ZnO particles cannot wash or wear out and will provide healthful benefits for the life of the garment. Made of cotton blended with bamboo viscose and a bit of spandex, this fabric is ultra-soft, cool and never loses its shape. Incredibly lightweight, highly breathable and remarkably durable.
Pima cotton
Our Pima Clothing is considered on of the highest quality blends being extremely durable and absorbent.
The unique fineness of PIMA cotton in this garment guarantees an extremely soft handle and very intensive colours.
Our PIMA cotton stands out for the firmness of the fabric and a highest degree of comfort in wear!
